Description
Inside the Henkelion Stainless Steel Cat Litter Box sits a steel pan, ringed by high plastic walls and a lid. Steel is non-porous, so urine does not soak into it the way it does into an old plastic tray, and a damp cloth wipes the bottom clean when you change the litter.
Those walls clip onto the pan and overlap its edge, so a cat that sprays high or digs hard keeps the mess inside. Two sizes are on our shelf: S at 17 x 13.3 x 10.2 in, about 22 liters, and M at 20 x 14.2 x 11.8 in, about 26 liters. M also comes as a pack of two for a home with more than one cat.
Every box comes with a double-layer litter mat, which catches the litter your cat carries out on its paws, and a scoop that stands in its own holder next to the box. The S mat measures 11.8 x 11.8 in, the M mat 19.7 x 14.2 in.

Which size of the Henkelion litter box fits your cat?
Measure your cat from the nose to the base of the tail and compare it with the inside length of the box. The M, at 20 x 14.2 x 11.8 in, suits large and long cats. The S, at 17 x 13.3 x 10.2 in, suits smaller cats and tighter spaces. Our litter box guide sets out what cat care bodies say about box size.
How do you clean the Henkelion steel litter box?
Scoop daily. When you change the litter, unclip the enclosure, empty the pan and wipe the steel with a damp cloth and mild soap, then dry it before you refill. Steel does not hold smells the way scratched plastic does.
Do you get a scoop with the Henkelion litter box?
Yes. Every box comes with a scoop that stands in its own holder next to the box, and a double-layer litter mat for the floor in front of it.
Can your kitten use the Henkelion litter box?
The walls are high to keep litter in. A small kitten may find them hard to climb, so the S size or a low tray suits the first weeks, with the steel box ready once your kitten grows.
