A small dog measures differently from a cat: deep chest, short legs, longer body. Measure from the nose to the base of the tail and from the floor to the top of the head while your dog stands, then add a little room to turn around. A dog within 15 x 9 x 9 in and up to 15 lb takes the Medium, 17 x 11 x 11 in. A dog within 18 x 12 x 12 in and up to 25 lb takes the Large, 20 x 13 x 13 in.
Clip the short safety leash inside to your dog's harness, never to the collar, before you open the top. In the car, set the carrier on the floor behind a front seat, where it cannot slide when you brake. The side pocket holds a leash, poop bags and the papers your vet asked for.
These come from one shelf of the Henkelion collection: pet carriers and litter box.
Questions
About Henkelion dog carriers
Will your dog fit the Henkelion dog carrier?
The Medium fits dogs within 15 x 9 x 9 in and up to 15 lb, the Large fits dogs within 18 x 12 x 12 in and up to 25 lb. Measure length and height, not weight alone.
Where does your dog ride in the car in a Henkelion carrier?
On the floor behind a front seat, where the carrier cannot slide or tip. Clip the inside safety leash to your dog's harness before you open the top at the other end.
Can your puppy fly in the cabin in a Henkelion carrier?
The Medium carrier is designed for the cabin, at 17 x 11 x 11 in. Each airline sets its own size limit and pet rules, so check yours before you book. The Large stays on the ground.
