Description
The Henkelion Soft-Sided Pet Carrier comes in two sizes, and the right one depends on the length and height of your pet, not its weight alone. The Medium is 17 x 11 x 11 in outside and holds a cat, a puppy or a small dog whose body fits within 15 x 9 x 9 in and who weighs up to 15 lb. Our Large is 20 x 13 x 13 in and holds a pet within 18 x 12 x 12 in and up to 25 lb.
We design the Medium for cabin travel. Every airline publishes its own under-seat limit and its own pet rules, and some aircraft give less room than others, so check yours before you book. It is the Medium only: the Large is the carrier for car trips, the vet and visits to family, where a bigger pet wants room to turn around.
Mesh on four sides lets air through and lets you see your pet. Zippers lock at the top and side openings, and a short safety leash inside clips to a harness. Underfoot lies a three-layer mat of wood board, foam and soft fleece, so it stays flat under weight. You carry it by the padded shoulder strap or by two loop handles, which also slip over the handle of a rolling suitcase. Empty, it folds flat for the closet.

Before you order
Which size of the Henkelion pet carrier fits your cat?
Measure your cat standing, from nose to the base of the tail, and from the floor to the top of the head. A cat within 15 x 9 x 9 in and up to 15 lb takes the Medium. One within 18 x 12 x 12 in and up to 25 lb takes the Large. Even a cat whose weight says Medium may need the Large if it is long.
Can you take the Henkelion carrier into an airplane cabin?
The Medium, at 17 x 11 x 11 in, is designed for cabin travel, but each airline sets its own under-seat size and pet rules, and these differ by aircraft. Check your airline before you book. The Large is not for cabins.
Where should your Henkelion carrier ride in the car?
On the floor behind a front seat, where it cannot slide or tip: that is what the Feline Veterinary Medical Association suggests for carriers that are not crash-test certified, and ours is not. Clip the inside safety leash to your pet's harness, never to a collar.
Can you fold the Henkelion carrier for storage?
Yes. Take out the mat on its board and the carrier folds flat, so it fits in a closet, behind a door or under a bed between trips to the vet.
